It feels good shooting metal.
I started shooting live music when I was in high school, when everything that mattered to me was HEAVY. I was a crusty lil punk and one day a dude made me a sweet and sour tape. On the sour side it had Neurosis, Yob, and Agalloch on it. My friends showed me At The Gates, Venom, all kinds of different facets of what metal can be. I worked at the Skatepark of Tampa’s venue all through highschool getting to shoot bands like Torche, Black Tusk, Baroness, Saviours, and so many others. My life became shooting and managing metal. So sometimes when I step back in the photo pit at a show like this one, I just feel so.. good. Without worry. Comfortable. and I get to just be right in the middle of it with a huge smile on my face.
